My latest article on Thrive Global is about holding space–for others and for ourselves. It’s not easy to stay present through hard feelings. I recently had a great discussion with some incredible victim advocates on this topic. It’s been a challenge for me to hold space for myself. I tend to get very, very busy when I’m struggling with difficult feelings. No time for sadness! Must do dishes! I’m trying to be better about it–journaling, going for walks, and having long phone calls with friends all seem to be great release valves for me. I would love to hear what works for you.
